The is happening down in Albany, where tiny radio-controlled yachts from the International One Metre and Dragon Flite 95 classes will be dodging each other on the pond at the corner of Sanford and North Roads. These little blighters follow the full International Rules of Sailing, proving that even metre-scale boats take their skippering seriously.

The IOMs hit the water first on 7th and 8th February 2026, with racing kicking off at 10am Saturday and winding down by 2:30pm Sunday. DF95s follow suit on 14th and 15th March. Rock up from 9:30am on the 7th for a front-row seat, its free and spectators are most welcome to watch the remote antics without lifting a finger.
