Whether youre a total beginner wiping out on the sand or just honing your wave-riding chops, Due South Surfing Academy runs safe, fun sessions where you can paddle out, snag some swells, and bask in the sun, sand, and sea without the usual beach hazards like rogue jellyfish.

Itll set you back $25. Sessions are on Thursday 29 January 2026, first one 7:30am to 9:30am, second 10am to 12pm, at Muttonbird Beach on Mutton Bird Road, Elleker WA 6330 Australia, which is a short drive from Albany if your cars not sulking.
