If you've ever wondered what it's like to take on the ocean while facing life's biggest curveballs, here's your chance to hear from two sailors who have done just that, with a fair bit of grit and good humour along the way. Jamie Dunross OAM turned what most would call a career-ending injury into a solo circumnavigation of Australia, proving that quadriplegia and seaworthy ambitions don't have to be mutually exclusive. Meanwhile, Robert Cridge, a local Albany legend with MS, has been balancing social work, sailing, and motivational talks for over 30 years – yes, that includes a TEDx gig where he talked about thriving with MS rather than just surviving it.
So, if you're curious about stories that blend determination, salty seas, and a touch of Aussie spirit – without getting too preachy about it – this is the night to be near Stirling Terrace. Dinner and drinks come with the ticket, so you can arrive hungry and leave inspired (both metaphorically and literally).
