Kids aged 10 to 14 are in for a treat with "Sounding Stories, Settings & Science," where they'll dive into a world of creativity that's as inspiring as a local tall tale and as messy as a science experiment gone slightly awry. Over the course of two days, young minds will rummage through local stories, historical tidbits, and a heap of recycled materials, transforming everyday stuff into brand-new masterpieces. It's not just about making art; it's about seeing the world through a quirky, fun lens, and let's be honest, who doesn't want to be a little more imaginative?

Under the guidance of the talented Nicole Murphy, workshops will be held at the Vancouver Arts Centre in Albany. The only thing you'll need to worry about is ensuring your kid has a good sense of adventure and maybe a smock to keep the messy creativity at bay. For just $20, your little Picasso will be set to roam free and explore the art of inventiveness. Just remember to book a spot because it might get a little crowded with all the budding artists wanting to play!
