If youre into that smooth Motown vibe, Southern Soul, the 12-piece soul outfit from Great Southern WA, is dusting off the classics for a show at Albany Port Theatre. Theyve been keeping local crowds grooving since 2020 with their themed gigs, like riffing on The Commitments or blending Blues Brothers with soul sisters, and now theyre tackling the golden age of Motown. Think tunes from The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Barrett Strong, Martha and the Vandellas, Stevie Wonder, The Marvelettes, Diana Ross and the Supremes, Jackson 5, and a bunch more, all delivered with four vocalists, a punchy four-piece horn section, and a solid Motown rhythm backbone.

Its happening on Sunday 23rd November 2025 at 3:30pm, right at Albany Port Theatre on 256 Princess Royal Drive in Albany WA 6330, Australia.
