Get ready for a barking good time, even if your own four legged friend has to stay home for the afternoon. The Oyster Harbour Catchment Group and the Albany All Breeds Dog Club are putting on '' at Foundation Park, Parade Street, Albany on Saturday, 16th August 2025, from 1pm to 4pm. This shindig is actually part of a bigger effort to shine a spotlight on the Western ringtail possum, who, let's be honest, could use all the awareness they can get as they are pretty rare these days.

You can pop along to see some rather impressive dog sports demonstrations from the Albany All Breeds Dog Club – think agility, obedience, and all sorts of clever canine capers. It is also a chance to learn more about the club itself and their training classes, in case your own pooch needs a few pointers or just a new hobby. Plus, there will be a selection of local businesses who are passionate about all things pet related. Entry is completely free, but please do leave your own beloved barker at home this time; it is all about creating a calm and safe stage for the performing pooches.
