The Road To York is a relaxing drive through some of WA's most enchanting forests & wheatbelt landscapes. York’s country charm & peaceful laidback ways make May a great time to visit our picturesque historical town. It’s easy to park up and stroll around town for the day with quirky artisan, antique & vintage shops, galleries, museums, cafes & family-friendly hotels. A walk across the Swing Bridge will put a smile on the faces of young & old - a great spot for a picnic or a timeout for the kids to play on the banks of the Avon River.

The Flour Mill Emporium is a collective of 20 artists & artisans working together at the Old York Mill, plus an eclectic collection of antiques, vintage & collectables.

On Saturday, 9 May from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, you can Meet The Makers Working In Residence! Every month, the public has a special opportunity to meet local York artists. Come along and discuss their inspirations and processes and view a unique showcase of their arts, crafts and wares.

A selection of vintage collectables in our Gallery room.

Genie, working in residence & Keith's rustic hat & coat racks.
