Laura Westerberg from Is Olde is running a hand-stitching session on Thursday 15 January 2026 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at the Albany Public Library Meeting Rooms on 221 York Street in Albany WA 6330. You will stitch together your own oven glove using upcycled vintage fabrics and wool blankets, with all the basics provided so you do not turn up empty-handed.

Bring along any special fabric if you fancy adding a personal twist, though you will need some basic hand-stitching know-how to keep things from unraveling. It is free but registration is required, probably to avoid a queue of keen stitchers blocking the library doors.
