There's a free workshop on Thursday 9 July 2026 from 6pm to 7.30pm at the Albany Public Library Meeting Rooms, 221 York Street, Albany, put on by Electrify Everything WA. It's a practical, no pressure sort of thing for locals who've been wondering about rooftop solar, batteries, heat pump hot water systems, reverse cycle air conditioning, induction cooktops, and electric cars. Basically, how all that stuff actually works in a typical Western Australian home, without the jargon or hard sell.

If you've been eyeing a specific upgrade but aren't sure where to start, or if the looming gas network closure has got you thinking, this session is for you. It's relaxed, it's free, and you'll probably leave knowing a lot more than you did about why your neighbour's induction stove boils water so fast. Just make sure you register beforehand, because they need to know how many biscuits to put out. See you there.
